Sorry, it’s been almost two months since my last update. I honestly don’t know if I can really afford updating the site monthly anymore. I really worked my ass of for my first term at University and it really paid off with respect to my grades. For the first time in several years I got straight A’s, and my GPA actually turned out even a bit higher than a 4.0. Since I started university I decided to place less priority on my sites and more on my school work, which is why I have been lacking in updates. Next term I am taking on a slightly lighter schedule, so hopefully it won’t be too bad. Right now I can’t really define a future for this site, whether it will close down or how often I will update, but I will always be around to reply to comments and emails. That being said, right now it’s winter break so I have a ton of time to be active online and work on some graphics (four weeks to be exact). And on the bright side it’s the winter holiday season, so I have a nice update for you all.

I honestly don’t intend to close the site anytime soon, so don’t worry! I noticed many sites in the AWC have been less active recently, and I really can’t blame them. But anyway,The premade in this update was created especially for a winter/holiday themed hosted by K.O. Designs! Please take a look and vote or join if you have the time.

Things have been hectic for me as of late, so I apologize for the lack of updates. I recently started my first year of University so that has been taking up all of my time honestly. I don’t know how much time I’ll have to update this site in the next coming months or so, but I do have a nice, four week long winter break in December, so my activity online will probably begin to resurface around that time. In case anyone was wondering, I am majoring in computer science and minoring in multimedia: digital arts. Right now all of my cs classes are programming classes, but I think some of what I will learn in the future will definitely be relevant for my coding and design experience on the web. For example next term I’m taking a class on Javascript, which should be fun and an easy “A”. I might even learn something new, ha ha. Anyway, since it’s almost that time of year again, and I wanted to wish you all a happy and safe Halloween! For such an occasion I have a few updates and a small bunch of icons. Sorry I know it’s not much right now.

Well the title explains it all really, I wanted to make a new layout for Tomorrow’s Deception before summer ended, but so far it’s not happening. I just recently got back from two short vacations and I started getting involved in a lot of projects with my other sites so I just haven’t had the time to work on a new layout. I’ve been lazy and distracted as well, but I’m also going through some “personal stuff” so hopefully you’ll forgive me. I do have an update for today though! Right after I made my last update here I got onto a huge vectoring kick, so for today’s update I have two new wallpapers that were completely vectored by me. I really hope you enjoy them, and although it may not seem like much vectors do take a long time to do so I assure you I put a lot of work into both of them. Anyway, thanks for your patience everyone, I don’t know if I’ll have time to make a new layout for T-D because University starts on the 26^th of September, but if not now I will make one later on in the year.

First I’d like to apologize, I know this update is a couple days later than what I planned for (and promised on twitter). This Thursday and Friday I went to my university orientation and since I was away from home I wanted to wait until I got back to update. I’ve been working really hard on the site this month, and some of you may have noticed the subtle changes here and there. I decided to finally get to work on some of the major parts of the revamp I have been planning and working on for the past year. This month I finally used mod_rewrite on my .htaccess file to rewrite all of the URLs on the site. They are much cleaner and more user-friendly than the long php query URLs. Along with that I also reconfigured the layouts database, and all of the layout, wallpapers, and transparent PNGs now have special preview/download pages. So basically I completely spiffed up the site, ha ha. It took a lot of work, but it was fun working with PHP again! Please tell me what you guys think of all the new changes, and I hope you enjoy this month’s (small) graphics update.

So for the August update I am planning on releasing a brand new layout for the main site! I’m really excited because the current layout has been up for quite some time, and a new layout will be a great way to end the summer. The awesome icon featured in this update is from Cyanide. So as I said in my last update, there was a short hiatus in updates, hopefully no one was too disappointed that I skipped May updates. It was definitely beneficial for me because I had time to focus on my finals, practicing driving, and graduation. Now that it’s finally summer, I have a somewhat early update for you all for June. Much of today’s update was organizational, I’ve been databasing more of the site and revamping certain pages. The past layouts page is finally back after a while of being under revamp. Also the entire set-up of the banners page has been completely revamped. I plan to work a bit more on recoding premades, my to-do list has been cut down a lot, thank goodness! I hope everyone likes the changes, and I will continue to update things throughout the site as well as graphics. I as always have some awesome plans for T-D this summer and I just hope that I can get it all done between working on my other sites and preparing for university. I know I usually have plans that are too ambitious for summer, but this time I’m trying to be realistic. XD I look forward to the next update, and I hope everyone else does too! Hi everyone! Yes, it’s finally time for a new update, I know this one is a bit overdue. Recently I have been really busy with school (as I’m sure most people are since it’s nearing the end of the year). That’s why I’d like to state ahead of time that there will be no update on T-D during May. I have AP tests and after that finals and graduation to worry about so I really won’t have much time online in the next month. I also have projects on my other sites that I am slightly behind on. D: But don’t worry, in June I will return to the regular monthly update. Plus I have a lovely update here for you all today. In the last post I believe I mentioned that I wanted to start making more premade layouts in my updates, so this time I have another new premade! This one is special because it has three different header images that rotate on the banner, so if you take a look at the new layout be sure to stick around for at least six seconds so you can see the alternate headers.

I’d like to thank everyone for all the lovely comments I have been getting on the site, I really appreciate it. I think I responded to almost everyone but if not I will try to get back to you soon! I also went through my link exchanges not long before this update and removed any site that was inactive or closing. If I accidentally removed you or you have updated your site recently feel free to leave and comment or email me, and I’ll re-add you. Can you believe that today marks this site’s third birthday?! I think it’s incredibly exciting, and almost unreal to think that I’ve kept this site for three whole years. I feel proud that I’ve been able to stick with this, and I can’t believe how much T-D has grown in three years. I would really like to thank all of my affiliates, link exchanges, and of course my site viewers! I have made a special gift banner as a birthday gift that I will post at the end of this update. :D Speaking of T-D’s anniversary you may be wondering if I will be holding a contest this year. (For those of you who don’t know, for the past two years I have held an annual graphics contest that traditionally ends on March 14^th, T-D’s birthday). The answer to that question is yes! Instead of starting the annual contest like I normally do in January or February, this year I was extremely busy with school work. I still plan on holding a contest but it will most likely start at the beginning of the summer when I have plenty of time to hold a proper graphics contest. Thanks for your patience everyone!

I apologize I didn’t update in February, as I said school work kept me very busy. I do have some graphics to share today though, and there will be a nice update next month as usual, so no worries! Also one of my goals is to start making more premade layouts for this site. I’ve noticed that over time I’ve been making fewer and fewer of them, so expect more coming soon. Besides today’s graphics update I have also been working on some “behind the scenes” stuff on T-D. I have databased all of the awards and gifts and added any of the newer ones. I also recoded one of the premades (yes, I’m still slowly recoding all of the old ones over time). The link exchange list has also been databased. But anyway, here are today’s updates, enjoy!

I know, I know, feel free to hate on me in the comments. I’ve been really busy recently because last week was finals and I was working to tie up any loose ends before the semester was over this basically dominated all of my time in January. I was planning at the very least to make an update from whatever I could come up with last weekend since it was a three day weekend but I decided to take a personal weekend and just relax instead because I had just gotten through a hectic phase of school. Sorry guys D: Today though I got my grades and I can happily say that my hard work has payed off. Anyway, this week all I can announce is the many new link exchanges I have received. I have a (small) update today but hopefully, I’ll be able to get more stuff done before winter break is over. Something that’s been bothering me is that I recently bought a new laptop, and it’s been great so far, but this layout looks quite pixelated, even on the original PSD file, especially the repeat-y background and the footer. It’s really bothering me. I’m kind of curious to know if it looks low quality to everyone or just me, so let me know in the comments. Oh, before I forget I’d just like to say happy holidays everyone! I sent out my gift banner to everyone yesterday, and even made an edit in the last post, but I’ll post it again at the end of this entry just incase anyone missed it or I forgot someone on the list.

So for the updates this time I have a ton of new icons, which were all part of my entry to Your Final Demise’s Icon Challenge. I just sent in my entries yesterday, and I had so much fun making them. If you’re even thinking about joining you should, the deadline is the end of this month so next Friday. I also made a holiday wallpaper for you all, it’s another widescreen wall too. Hello everyone! First let me apologize, whatever I’m going to write for this update is probably going to be complete crap because it’s 12 AM on a school night and I’m rushing this like crazy! Ha ha, ok now that we’ve got that out of the way… So did anyone notice a layout change on T-D?! :D I know it’s been a long time since the last layout change (April *cough* *cough*) so I really tried to put more effort into this one since it will probably be up for quite a while. Please let me know what you think of the layout in the comments or on the tagboard. I know that green and brown are kind of a fall colors and it’s now turning into winter, but I’ve never kept up with seasonal layouts anyway! XD I checked the layout in all of the major browsers and it looks fine, but please let me know if you see any errors throughout the site. Also the coding is quite messy right now. (Not visibly messy, but organizationally it could use some work). So I’ll try and make time to fix it up, but it’s kind of always like that with a new layout because I hurry to get it done, which is not a good habit.

Also this is quite important: I am no longer using the alias Rinku. From now on I’d like to go by my actual name, which is Sarah. I know it’s really annoying to change it suddenly but you’ll have to adjust and remember to call me Sarah. Not using my real name is something that’s bothered me for a long time now. I’m also planning on changing my email soon, but I will let everyone know when that happens. Anyway, thank you guys for putting up with me, ha ha.

I also would like to give a quick plug for Manda’s Icon Contest. I’m joining, so you should too! It’s sure to be a great contest, some of today’s updates will be in my entry. Speaking of which, here’s the main updates for today…

Edit (11/29/2010): Ok, yeah I was right… writing an update early in the morning was not smart, because I left something out, something important and exciting! You may have noticed on the third banner of the new header rotation that it mentions offering resources. Yes, I am planning to add two new sections to the site for the next update, textures and brushes! I’ve made a couple texture and brush sets in the past that have been featured on my DeviantART for a while now. Those as well as some brand new ones will be coming to T-D next month! :DD Also, I did a bit of coding clean up in some parts of the layout this afternoon, including the credits page and the link exchange list. And thank you to everyone who has commented on the layout, I really appreciate your guys’ input.

Edit (12/1/2010): The layout problems in Internet Explorer 7 have been fixed. Thanks to Richard for pointing this out to me. I figured it was an important change because according to my tracker, 10% of the visitors are using IE 7. All I can say is sorry for before… the layout is now compatible, but either way I still think you should update to IE 8, or even better use Firefox instead. The layout does not work in any versions of IE below 7 and I do not intend to fix that problem. Anyone who is still using IE 6, needs to learn how to update their internet browsers.

School is taking a huge toll on how much time I have to work on T-D, and right now I’m starting to worry. School is dominating my life right now, and I just really want to get everything on the site done, but I don’t have the time. Nonetheless the revamp will continue as planned it’s just probably going to take me some more time, I’m sorry guys. I also didn’t get done a lot of things I wanted to before this update, I think I spent too much time on the graphics part of the update that I didn’t have much time to work on the revamp. Anyway, just don’t expect much from me for the next couple of months, I swear I’m doing the best I can.

Anyway, enough of what I didn’t do and on to what I was able to get done for this update! I have a nice graphics update for you all today. I’ve been trying to work on recoding the premades but it really hasn’t been working out, I only finished a half of one before I got distracted. Therefore, I’m planning on leaving that as the last thing to do for the revamp. I did completely reorganize the wallpapers database. I also was able to add some older wallpapers (that you may not have seen) because they were never on the site before. The reason I didn’t add them until now is because they’re all widescreen. So if you have a widescreen resolution feel free to check out the three (kind of new) wallpapers. Two of them are from contests that I entered in the past and the other was one I actually made for my sister about a year ago. I also did put up a brand new wallpaper (which is id: 19). For the next update I intend to reorganize the premades database, fix some of the PHP on the contact form and tagboard, and finally get the URL mod_rewritten. Since it seems like a lot of stuff you probably won’t be seeing many graphics from me for the next update. But here is the extent of today’s graphics update:

• One new wallpaper featuring Kino from Kino No Tabi.
• Seven new transparent PNGs featuring stock photos, Inuyasha, and Cowboy Bebop.

Thank you to everyone who left me a Halloween banner and wished me happy Halloween. Also thanks to everyone who wished me a happy birthday I was amazed that so many people remembered, seriously my affiliates and link exchanges are awesome! Anyway, again everyone have a great Halloween, and I’ll be back in mid-November for the next update!

I’m sorry, I know this update is a little late. As I posted in the last update, I was on vacation for a week. I have some important things to discuss in this update; tomorrow is my first day of school (I’m be a high school senior this year). Obviously, I didn’t get done a lot of the things I said I would for this site. I had a lot of ambitious plans and not enough time. I promise though, I have been working diligently on T-D. I’ve recoded several of the older premades, and I’ve been improving the PHP/MySQL database system throughout the site. I’ve also finally decided to ditch CuteNews. Yes, that’s right, this is the first post on T-D using FanUpdate 3.0. I did a lot of editing to the template, so hopefully nothing looks too different. Also since I’ve installed FanUpdate, we now have a beautiful RSS Feed for the updates on the site. Hopefully you guys will enjoy commenting with FanUpdate, I feel so much safer using it!

So as it stands now I still have a lot of things left to do on the site. Finish recoding the premades, mod_rewrite the URLs (which I have been working with already), and make a new site layout. With school coming up I know I will have much less time to focus on the site. So I apologize, but T-D is on continued open-revamp. I will, however, continue to make small updates including graphics (much like this one) monthly. In the updates I will explain how progress is going on the site and at the end of all of this, we’ll have not only a much cleaner site, but a new layout, and guess what? A raffle event! That’s right as “thank you” to my viewers for being so patient with me, I’m planning a special raffle event where anyone can win prizes! My estimate for how long the revamp will take is until winter break, but remember we’ll still have our monthly updates. :D Speaking of which, here’s what’s new for today:
